This is our second tour with Lawrence. This is a full day tour and we went to see a lot of interesting places. Lawrence is such a great guy he helped us save money in getting a group tickets going up Penang Hill by funicular train. Definitely a great guide to have in Penang!

We had a wonderful tour in Penang with Lawrence L. He is very friendly and eager to please. He is very knowledgeable about Malaysian history and all the sites. We went on a trishaw ride which was fun. He also took us to the famous wall mural of kids on a bicycle where we had our picture taken. We had a delicious char kway teow lunch at a hotel up in Penang Hill. The best meals we’ve had in Malaysia. We would definitely recommend Lawrence as your tour guide if you happen to be in Penang.

We had Laurence show us around Penang whilst our ship docked for only a few hours. Even though time was limited, Laurence did a brilliant job of including a really good look around a vast amount of Penang and made sure he got us back to our ship in plenty time before sailing. He was totally professional, on time, knowledgeable of all sites, informative and fun. Would happily recommend him to anyone visiting Penang.

My wife Christine and I spent a really enjoyable day touring Georgetown in the company of our ToursByLocals guide Laurence. Leonard carefully laid out the Coles Notes version of the history of Penang and how it came to be the melting pot of ethnicities and religious beliefs it is today. We packed in visits to Kek Lok Si Temple, the Peranakan Museum, the Reclining Buddha Temple, a traditional lunch and, of course, the Street Art that adorns the walls of the old town. Lawrence was great and is highly recommended. He took us to all the best locations while seemingly avoiding the crowds. We usually were leaving as large crowds were arriving, which worked out very well. We also had a great experience eating lunch at the Petronas Towers. The food was very good and so inexpensive. Lunch was roughly the equivalent of $2. Thank you Lawrence!

We have traveled the world with many tour guides on private tours and ship excursions. Laurence L. was the one of best tour guides we have ever had! Considerate and thoughtful with fabulous information about out sights. Three of us did a customized 8 hour ship excursion primarily in Georgetown. After talking with us, Laurence’s recommendations for the day were terrific! Be sure to do the bicycle tour through the old city and the straits Chinese museum he recommends.
