Penang Hill

Art Street

George Town is known for its vibrant street art scene, with murals scattered throughout the historic city centre. The most famous artwork on Art Street is probably the "Children on a Bicycle" mural depicting two children riding a bicycle.

Chew Jetty

Wooden stilt houses built around a walkway in a waterside village dating from the 19th century. Chew Jetty is one of the 7 clan jetties. It was established by Chinese immigrants who engaged in various trades, primarily fishing and port-related activities.

Trishaw Rides

Trishaws are traditional Oriental tricycles. It is a popular way for tourists to explore the city's historic areas, cultural sites, and attractions. It is only encouraged for small groups due to the limited number of trishaws and popular demand.

Wat Chayamangkalaram

The temple is known for its massive reclining Buddha statue, one of the largest in the world. It is located opposite the Dhammikarama Burmese Temple.

Entopia

Within Entopia lies two worlds; The Natureland living outdoor gardens and The Cocoon indoor discovery centre. Over 150 species of fauna and more than 200 species of flora are being showcased.

Batik Workshop

Led by a talented Batik guru, the workshop offers participants a unique opportunity to explore the rich cultural heritage of Penang through hands-on artistic expression. The workshop duration is 1 hour at USD10 per person.

CRAFT Batik Factory

Dhammikarama Burmese Temple

A Theravada Buddhist temple within George Town. Situated at Lorong Burma opposite Wat Chayamangkalaram, it is the only Burmese temple in the state, and a focal point for the annual Water, Thingyan and Mid-Autumn festivals in the city, as well as the Buddhist Lent.

Snake Temple

Famous for its unique aspect of having live venomous snakes on its premises. The temple is dedicated to a deity believed to possess healing powers and the ability to protect against disease. The history of the temple dates back to the late 1800s.

Suffolk House

Firefly-Watching Cruise @ Nibong Tebal

Fort Cornwallis

The British East India Company built Fort Cornwallis in the late 18th century. Construction began in 1786, shortly after Captain Francis Light, the first Superintendent of Penang, established the island as a British trading post.

Goddess of Mercy Temple

Also known as the Guanyin Temple. It is dedicated to Guanyin, the bodhisattva of compassion and mercy. Guanyin is highly revered in East Asian Buddhism and is often depicted as a female figure embodying compassion and kindness.

St. George's Church

A 19th-century Anglican church and the oldest found in Southeast Asia. Opened in 1819, it celebrated 200 years of uninterrupted service in 2019. It is a testament to the colonial history of Penang and its connection to the British Empire.

Queen Victoria Memorial Clock Tower

The Jubilee Clock Tower is a Moorish-style Jubilee clock tower located at the intersection of Light Street and Beach Street was built to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria. The tower is sixty feet tall, and one foot represents one year of Victoria's reign.

City Hall

A colonial-era building built by the British in the 1900s and served as the seat of local government during colonial times. It is an iconic example of British colonial architecture

Floating Mosque

This mosque is renowned for its unique location on the shores of Tanjung Bungah, where it appears to float gracefully on the surface of the Straits of Malacca during high tide.

Penang National Park

Located on the northwest corner of Penang Island. It is the world's smallest national park, renowned for its diverse ecosystem and beautiful landscapes. The park covers an area of approximately 2,562 hectares, encompassing both land and sea.
